How Mitt i secured its business critical booking process with vloxq CPQ

About Mitt i

Mitt i is a group of local newspapers covering the entire Stockholm region with 30 titles, reaching over one million households every week. As one of Sweden’s largest local news media companies, they offer advertisers a unique reach and local presence – both in print and digital channels.

The Challenge

Mitt i’s business relies heavily on advertising revenue, and the ability to quickly and accurately book ad space is absolutely critical. Previously, Mitt i had a customized booking solution built directly into its CRM. While it worked, the vendor had made it clear that they did not want to continue developing or maintaining the functionality. This posed a significant risk that the system would eventually stop working. In addition to the CRM-based solution, Mitt i also relied on a web-based pricing tool with a map feature, as well as separate Excel documents.

The core requirements were clear:

  • Everything that was possible in the previous tools had to be possible in the new solution.

The Solution

After discussions with vloxq CPQ, Mitt i decided to implement vloxq as its booking and quoting tool, integrated with Upsales and their other business systems.


The implementation process was extensive, largely due to the sheer volume and complexity – more than 100,000 ads per year, across 24 formats, 30 newspapers, and countless combinations.

vloxq CPQ and Mitt i worked closely together to:

  • Replicate all existing functionality from the previous system.
  • Introduce price controls and guardrails – something that had been completely missing before.
  • Enable quote creation and PDF generation directly in the system.

The Results

Today, Mitt i uses vloxq CPQ for the majority of its bookings, directly within the sales organization. The results have been clear:

1. Stability and reliability in a business-critical process
The system never goes down, and errors are minimal. Mitt i can drive sales without the risk of downtime in the booking process.

2. Full control over pricing
Previously, sales reps could book at any price – from 0 SEK and up. With Vloxq, Mitt i has implemented controls and restrictions, eliminating incorrect pricing and strengthening profitability, even though it meant losing some customers who had been on unsustainable price levels.

3. Adaptability and flexibility
The sales department can now independently add and adjust package solutions, resulting in shorter lead times and reduced dependence on external development resources.
